Topographic survey and geophysical prospection of the archaeological remains, in the harbour of Kyllini (Glarentza)
Since summer 2007 in the harbour of Kyllini (Medieval Glarentza) the research programme of scientific cooperation between the Ephorate of Underwater Antiquities and the Finnish Institute at Athens takes place.
Goal of the programme is the topographic survey and geophysical prospection of the harbour, aiming to examinne the remains of the Crusaders' harbour (13th - 14th century), and to detect the classical harbour installations of the city , which has not been archaeologically confirmed.

Nowadays, the visible basin, which reflects the space of the medieval ( maybe the ancient as well) harbor, is partly
backfilled, while parts of the harbour installations extend to the coastal zone and into the sea. The extended submerged archaeological remains of the harbour facilities are visible in the sea, under the north fortification of the Medieval Glarentza.
For this reason, and in the context of a new five year long research programme, since summer 2013 underwater excavation is being realized.
