The Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports organizes successfully the August Full moon celebration every year since August 2002, by offering free entrance to archaeological sites, museums and monuments under the August full moon.
The celebration of August Full Moon 2017 will be held on Monday, August 7th . The events in some sites and museums start from August 5th until August 9th. Many events (musical concerts, poetry nights, stars observation, theatrical performances, art exhibitions, dance performances, guided tours, shadow theater) will take place in 115 archaeological sites, monuments and museums allover the country. Twenty two archaeological sites and museums will just remain open to the public.
The entrance will be free to the public.
