‘Fire and Coin- Archaeology and Fire’
The Numismatic Museum hosts the particular exhibition, which is co-organized by the Numismatic Museum and the Ephorate of Underwater Antiquities, in the context of the Panhellenic Action Environment and Culture 2012, which because is inspired by the myth of Prometheus, bears the title for the years 2012-1013: Παντέχνου Πυρός Σέλας – Λαμπερές Ιστορίες Φωτιάς (Brilliant Stories of Fire).
In the case of underwater archaeological finds, the reconciliation of water and fire by means of artifacts such as lamps, candlesticks, kitchenware, tobacco pipes and weapons found in wrecks is highlighted.
