The conservation and consolidation works of the circuit walls of the Acropolis
Conservation interventions in unstable parts of the bedrock, mainly in the eastern and northern side were carried out between 1980-1995. Activities have also been directed towards the systematic documentation of the architectural and structural form of the walls, the investigation of their structural damages and the monitoring of their state of preservation using modern methods (2000-2010). In the framework of the current NSRF program (2011 - 2015) a trial consolidation operation is undertaken on the south wall (in the area between the 6th and 7th butresses) and several studies are being compiled to address the problems of the walls and the arrangement of the course of rainwater over the entire surface of the Acropolis.
